Sales Executive
The Financial Information Group, Inc., the leading provider of on-line databases of financial intermediaries, is seeking an experienced and talented Sales Executive. Join a talented and hard working team of sales executives focused on selling the Discovery suite of databases to Insurance Carriers and related communities.
The Financial Information Group, Inc. has become the preeminent organization serving sales and marketing executives in the financial services community. In less than four years, the Discovery products have become the leading tool for sales and marketing executives, surpassing competing products that have a 20+ year history in this space.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales opportunities / pipeline for the Discovery-RR and Discovery-Insurance databases to Insurance Carriers and related communities to aid in their wholesaling and recruiting efforts.
  • Manage sales cycle from discovery phase to close
  • Successfully utilize Salesforce.com CRM to manage sales process and maintain relevant data
  • Internally, this role will actively interact with various cross functional team members including other members of the Sales team, Marketing, Data Specialists, Client Services and Technology.

Qualifications Requirements:
  • Ability to prospect and build a pipeline is required. This would include proficiency at calling into various levels of an organization, identifying the right opportunities and their appropriateness for entering the pipeline, handling objections, etc.
  • Ability to distinctly articulate Discovery’s offerings to different levels of an organization
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 1-3 years of selling in the financial services industry
  • Excellent presentation skills, written and oral communication skills, and good organizational skills is required
  • Leadership ability to motivate and coordinate resources is required
  • Proficiency in current Microsoft products (various operating systems, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) is required
  • Some travel is required
